Social Commentary May Be The New Focus Of This...
I see a lot of nonsense come across my dash, many people on the far ends of issues and many people who sensationalize to express their points. It seems like a mediating voice, or more appropriately a devil’s advocate to highlight reason in these discussions, is needed.

You ever wish someone was closer than they were; that they could be something they are not and you could muster to strength to create your own happiness?
Sometimes I do..and it isn’t fun.
I am moving further and further from the economic struggle of urban Black life.
By way of my scholarship, continued pursuit of scholarships and family circumstance, I stand to turn a profit from my undergraduate education.
As a result, I can focus more on my emotional issues. Unfortunately, they have proven to be more formidable than my financial woes.
Reflecting on these last few months has shown me a few key things.
Firstly, when left unchecked, I can forget how strong I am. I have the ability to endure more than I give myself credit for.
Second, scorned women will continue to be scorned until you give them reason not to be. Unfortunately, I’m not willing to sacrifice my personal respect and dignity to do so.

Me: I hate those fucking books.
LCW: They're not that bad! They kind of suck you in.
Me: They're terribly written, in fact they're BEYOND terribly written. They read like they're written by a ten year old.
LCW: You're just saying that because they're an easy read.
Me: No, the hell I'm not. 'The Hunger Games Trilogy'? Easy read, but well written, dynamic story. 'Harry Potter'? Easy read, but at least J.K. Rowling showed growth as her novels progressed. Stephen King's 'Carrie'? Easy read, fairly simplistic, but really great at building suspense. I can keep going.
